BRUSSELS, 24th September, 2026 (WAM) — Higher road fuel prices have cost the European Union an estimated €53 billion amid geopolitical disruption, adding an average of €270 million a day to transport costs, according to a report by Transport & Environment (T&E). Authorities in Abu Dhabi shut down ‘Ahalalraya butchery’ temporarily due to its risks to public health, the Abu Dhabi Food Safety Authority (Adafsa) said on Thursday. The establishment was found in violation of Law No. (2) of 2008 on food safety in the Capital and posed a risk to public health.
