ABU DHABI, 27th August, 2026 (WAM) — Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) on Thursday announced that more than 188 women have joined the company since Emirati Women’s Day 2025, including 79 UAE nationals. EGA today employs 833 women in the UAE, including 462 UAE nationals. More than 408 women at EGA hold operational roles, with Emiratis representing over 44 percent of women in operations. At first glance, Mohammed Joha’s art appears abstract. There are patches of blue, pink and green against grey, with pieces of fabric, paper and cardboard stitched and layered across the canvas. Look closer and the materials start to tell their own story. Some were salvaged. Others came from Joha’s own clothes. The artist, who was born in Gaza and has lived in Europe for more than two decades, calls the series Houselessness.
